About me

Meenal Sahoo is a self-taught artist based in New Delhi, India. Her compositions have always been a combination of realism and abstraction experimented across medium of cloth and oils. 


Sahoo's works offer physical and metaphysical spaces for contemplation. It inspires the viewer to reflect inwardly and deeply into the experience of the painting itself. Her choice of oils not create a ying-yang effect but her famous puzzle-like abstract style is a testimony to how layered the human form truely is. Also inspired by human interactions she uses gradients of blacks and beiges to express an emotional contrast through her paintings.
